I keep having problems with them bouncing around and breaking from too much pressure in the box I think. I stuck my arm in while full tilt and there's alot of pressure and the aeroports that broke were like swinging around lol. kinda pissin me off cause their not cheap. I'm thinking of bondoing them in from the inside bondo them to the box. any thoughts?

I'm sealing them with bondo now. I'll post pix later or at least links to them on my sd page.

Your ports shouldnt be moving at all. Not only is it damaging them, but i bet that its also severly hurting your score.

When you say seal with bondo what exactly do you mean? The tube to the flange or the flange to the baffle?
I would not use bondo as it will not stick to the plastic port and will eventually break apart. If it's the flange to baffle, fill the area around the flange on the inside with liquid nails then place the enclosure so that it is lying on the flanges forcing them into the baffle. Leave it that way for several hours. If it's flange to tube, duct tape works or 2 part epoxy.

i have been running my ports fine and never had a problem with them , the only time i cracked mine was with one screw on the flange , ya bondo sucks period. maybe try contact cement because they do need to flex

good luck

flare to baffle. I filled it. don't know how long it'll hold the only time I never had a prob was glassing them to the baffle after screwing them. those were tight as all hell.

seem fine for now. I glassed the entire interior about 1/4" so there's alot of glass over the bondo lol. if it doesn't hold good. I'm thinking of doing another box, so it'll be easier to take the aeroports out lol.

Thanks for all the responses [Big Grin]
