hi, i recently sold my 04 version L7 15's both were ported with 5.5 per sub, and both subs were being powered buy 1 amp a JBL GTO 1201.1

I'm wanting a new setup, im thinking of going with 12's im guessing i would have to go sealed since i want to be able to lean my seats, which wasnt something i could do with my last setup ith the 15's.

My budget is 700-800 bucks for subs and another amp the amp will put me back 280, the rest is for subs, so should i go with 4 of the new comp vr 12's sealed or what i want it to be louder then the 2 L7 15's i had and i want it to drop real low.

could 4 12's sealed be louder then the L7 15's ported or do i need to go ported and do like a cutthrough or perhaps a wall???? what other rband could i go with for the amount of money i will have left after buying another amp.

because i know to get louder i need more power so any suggestions is greatly apprecitated.

It really depends on the install and the equipment, but in most cases 4 12" will get louder and lower than 2 15".

IMO, I would recommend the Cerwin Vega V-Max over the Kicker Comp VR. I have heard a couple of raves about the CV V-Max over the CVR.

BTW, You don't really need more power to get louder. Get a efficient sub(s), amp and most importantly remember "its all in the install". [Wink]

If you want to go sealed, just get a pair of XXX 15's. Run em in 3cubes net each, with a 1201.1 per driver.

Porting a pair of 12's is also something to think about.
