im thinking about getting a XXX 12" and putting it in a powerd4sound snail shell, for power i have 2 dei 1500 D's.

how do you guys think it will sound?

dude whatever man, even if a sub is overhyped doesn't mean it isn't awesome. But I have to say this sub is far from being overhyped, it deserves all the credit its been given, although I've never heard an SS enclosure I'm sure for the most part the SQ is the biggest gain and I'm betting you think its for SPL only.

according to the majority of the ppl on this board and others the XXX is supposed to be the next coming of god which it isnt. It doesnt play all the notes that I want it to, and it isnt all that loud, so in my eyes its overrated. Ill take an H2, Power Hx2, DD 9500, and many other subs over an XXX any day of the week. And fyi I have an XXX 12 and 15 and Ive had plenty of time to listen to them before I decided to blow them. And just because I put a joke in my sig doesnt mean I dont know my shiit when it comes to car audio... There are plenty of members of this forum that can vouch for my skills.....
