i currnetly have a brahma 12 and it pounds. Everyone always ask this question.( i did too before i bought my brahma). They are basically the same but i no believe the XXX will get slightly louder so it depends on the price whichever is cheaper. The XXX also looks a little nicer so if i had to do it all over i would get the XXX just for the look. In regards to power handling u should be able to put about 1500 to 1700 watts into each for daily driving more for burps.( depending on enclouser). In regards to the amp i dont know too much about that model so put up some specs.

I think you're going to want more power, just my thoughts though. Why not get two 2000x's and run one on each sub?

they will work well with that amp but could do so much more with more power u could hit them with about 1600-2000 watts each and maybe 3000 watts each for burps

I believe either would absolutely pound for daily setups. If more than 2K watts, go XXX! [Eek!] [Wink]

You won't be disappointed with a XXX, I have not listened to a brahma yet, except in extreme vehicles but that is a different story.

I love my XXX and wouldn't trade it for the world, unless it was 2 XXX 12's or something. I've had my share of testing between some subs out there and some do come close in output, but they needed more power then what I had going to mine, and at the time I had 800rms to the sub.

I can't say the XXX all out the best sub, because it isn't, no sub is. It all depends on individual cicumstances, and it happens to work for mine.

I think alot of people will also recommend certain subs, because they work well for a spl sub, and I feel alot of noobs aren't looking for an all out spl sub. I find that most people like to have alittle midbass coming from there sub and that is where some will look away from the XXX, unless it is in a Snail Shell or an ABC enclosure, because the XXX's aren't really made to go above 60hz, and for a sub, it souldn't.

i would just like to point out that the Brahma handles MAJOR CLEAN power, i put well over 3Kw RMS to a single B15 for like 6 months, and when i sold it the coil and suspension were flawless!.... yeah, when you first send these subs lots of power they stink for a minute, its NORMAL, the XXX does the same thing....

the only time i suggest a XXX over a Brahma is when you got more than 3-4Kw RMS.... also NO sub is safe from distortion, they will fail if you send them distortion....
