Sickest daily driver i ever heard was up in Canada at Audio worx.It was a 89 s10 with a cut threw. it had 2 earth quake Balls 18s in a ported box and i belive 4 Zapco 9.0 or the studio series amps , all zapco front stage that was completely insane , the neighbors 4 blocks away called the cops seid there was tremmorz and such lol it was just nuts.
On the other hand I used 3 Lanzar opti 1232 12s and 3000 wats ported in my ext cab ranger and that wasnt to bad for 153.4 dbs in a daily driver. Tuned to 35 hz , made your eyes fluter and could take your breath away.-Jeff

how would you define daily driver sub? Because if you have unlimited money for subs and amps...and also unlimited space there is no real answer to this question. But if you go up on wattage are you going to beef up the electrics and still consider that a daily driver because you can drive it even though you've modded the heck outta it?

Don't mean to start anything but just wanted to know what everyone considers a daily driver.

I think daily driver on a ported enclosure implies tuning below 40hz [Big Grin] so you can listen to music on it. Running the sub at rms power also.

i'd say for daily the DD3500, AQ HD series, RE HC(the replacement version), treo SSX, hcca , W7 , and few others.

price wise RE and DD are great with 1000w each.

I like the CV Strokers myself. The only 15 I've heard that can keep up with my kind of music.

Can't forget the 9500s from MTX........haven't heard them personally but I bet they will be a force to be reconned with. [Wink]

What makes the Treo SSX's so good for that "ground pounding" effect in comparison to other woofers? So do they just have so much force and punch that they make you wanna throw up from all the vibration and energy? What characteristics about he woofer make it so superior?

It is designed specifically for sick bass, only rated @ 2400w RMS for the 15s and 18s [Big Grin]

Alot of subs are very good no doubt, but I listened to alot of systems and I was the most impressed with Treo and a very close second to Oki's U2 car with 2 18" Strokers and some serious Zapco power. Oki knows a little something about SQPL [Wink]

The Treo SSx has an enormous amount of motor force coupled with a 4 inch high temp coil and a 10.5 spider which is larger than any in market. This allows for 4 inches of travel, with the voice coil always in the gap giving you tight but very deep accurate bass. 2500 watts rms all day a$$ kickin doesnt hurt either. They work in small air as well!
best street pounder out there in my opinion.

Some argue that the Eclipse Titanium Pro can be used daily, very loud sub.
