but come on! every one here says that the RE XXX is the ultimate sub and it is the almighty of all the subz and all.... they couldn't even get 1 record! (as far as i know) this is disappointing!! i am not saying that the XXX is a bad sub just so many ppl here love them!

any one else?
The soloX took 2nd in Extreme 3-4 (Micheal Hughes,) SS3-4 4th (Team Divine Carlos,) and Extreme 1 3rd (Nathan Munson.)
I have a few pictures of a set of blown up RE's from finals of course each coil had WELL over 25kw on it...The power of the crown.
But I didn't really extensively look for RE, but I'm sure they placed at finals.

CROWN amps don't put out 25Kw each or did you mis-phrase that?? 25kw per sub not coil????
RE is an SQ sub BLAH BLAH BLAH
XXX has more displacement than anyone DUMAX tested. It has a 3" VC very similar to a Shocker VC.
Nothing about the specs I listed on that sub says it can't out pressure lots of subs at finals.
the smaller street classes should have been FULL of RE. How many RE cars made it to finals and how many made the top 8 ??? Inquiring minds want to know.

Actually, terry jackson had RE woofers and destroyed them(10kw per coil not 25kw steve ). I believe there was one extreme 1 vehicle that also had them, bronco II if memory serves me correctly, and I believe they got 6th place. Those were the only RE's I saw at finals.
Solo X's were used by the above mentioned people, also Erik Hoss in extreme 1 had one of them, and Gumby from sound decision had them in his ss 3-4 astro.

cool deal I called and checked and no RE subs were in the top 8 in any class.
but the computer won't show a competitor if they don't have RE selected in thier subwoofer section.
example terry jackson's page says "none" under subwoofers thus he wasn't listed.
ok so two competitors so far and did both get 6th place???

The XXX isn't exactly the best sub to use in a pure SPL environment...there are some woofers that are much more capable...
It is, IMO, one of the, if not the, best daily driving woofer commercially available.

I dont think the XXX will ever dominate the SPL world. Thats not to say it isnt a damn good sub and great for street beating and occasional comps. Like mentioned before the RE sub for SPL is the MT which is going to be released for production soon if Im not mistaken. I know they can be had now, but they are very expensive since each sub has to be individualy machined.
Good number can be put up with these subs, maybe not as good as other brands but still above aqverage IMO
As far as the Solo-x I think they did outstanding being the limited amount of power that was used on them compared to others in the same class

Could be because very very few of the top COMPETITORS were running them.........since INSTALL is the key........and not equipment.....

the xxx wasn't designed for spl...it was designed for daily-driven setups. maybe re will fix all the kinks (if any) on the mt's and will soon release them. perhaps in the future, they will become more popular in the lanes.

ok guys i agree with what u all have to say but just every one was sooooo biased about RE XXX subz on this forum that they thought it will dominate the world finals!!!! this is not to bash the RE XXX in any way i wish i could have one of those subz! just that we have to agree that it is not an all mighty sub for everything!!!
and thanx for the info on the soloX! i didn't know that ... and whatz up with pioneer???? i mean boy wasn't there anything else to win the in that class!!! every one blamed their subz as to not be able to handle too much power for too long but i think they've proven themselves to be really good! (currect me if i am wrong though)
any wayz i think this shows that the DD subz are top of the line subz for normal ppl (1-4 subz)
i really hope RE will make their SPL line really good so they can manage to win something next year maybe!

sitting on the floor around various vehicles, because they weren't louder than the woofers they were swapped for..
Stephen, Scotties 168.8 came in a run during the previous rounds of eliminations.. he only did a 165.1 in the final run..

Thanks for the correctiong Johnny, late night typo. I remember Nick telling me that the RE coils all togther are safe to 25kw. Yes he had 20kw per sub not coil...lol sorry bout the confusion.

And there were two CSX's next to my vehicle, that I kinda ran over accidentally (OK so the bumper just push/slid them along the ground...) when my vehicle was being pushed back into my bay. That was right after I took out a trash can too....

is there a difference between the 9500 and 9900 series other than the sizes?
Street B was using 3512s I think and A was 9512 (guessing.) 100%spl/0%sq Yes, the kevlar cone, differnt coil configurations, a higher price tag, and that's about it. And you can get them from 12s to 17s
