Topic: ENCLOSURE PARTITION & ENCLOSURE SOFTWARE
I AM USING A FEW DIFFERENT COMPUTER PROGRAMS TO BUILD A SUB WOOFER BOX FOR MY CAR.ONE OF THEM JUST HAPPEN TO BE PERFECT BOX 4.5
FOR INSTANCE WITH PERFECT BOX THE PROGRAM ASK IF THE ENCLOSURE IS GOING TO HOUSE ONE OR TWO DRIVERS
I PLAN TO HAVE TWO DRIVERS IN A STANDARD BOX SIDE BY SIDE
MY QUESTION IS: WHEN I DO MY CALCULATIONS FOR THIS BOX WHY DOES'NT IT GIVE ME THE MEASURMENTS FOR THE PARTITION BOARD???
OR IS THE PARTITION ALWAYS HALF OF THE BOX LENGTH???
OR ARE THE CALCULATIONS FOR ONE HALF OF THE WHOLE BOX AND THE TWO HALFS TOGETHER EQUAL THE TOTAL CUBIC FT. OF THE WHOLE BOX??

If you want to determine if the box program your using is taking into account the divider of the two separate chambers, do this: Use the box program to design the same enclosure spec's, but for only one subwoofer. If the volume is correct for the one, then if another enclosure of the same dimensions was placed next to it, minus one side of one of the enclosure's, then the program is taking the divider into consideration.Phil Woodlawn Cabinetry
