I know there are alot of other variables involved but...
What on average when building a slot port for your enclosure is the minimum width a port can be before you start to get far too much port noise/turbulence?

This is going to depend on a number of variables, a few of them being: power being used, box size, number and size of woofers, desired tuning ......

Power will be 1600wrms. Box = 5Cubes Net. Sub = DD9515 x1

With that amount of power and a woofer of that caliber i would not make the port any less than 40 square inches. If you can, i think 75 square inches or bigger would be ideal...
i did a box for a high output 15 tuned to 26hz with only 30 square inches of port and there was some port noise and i thought a lot more port area should have been used.
hope this helps
