as you can see down below i have 1 10 jbl gti ported with 1200w. ok i turned up the volume to test how loud it can go after the breaking in pereod. well as i was doing this the sub started smelling. now i think the reason it was smelling was because of the box that it is in. my box is an obcon with a total of 3 ports 1 of which was inside conecting the 2 seperate chambers. kinda like an abc box. the box was not designed specifically for jbl its more of an every sub type box. is it possable that the box was not made for that much power? my sub should be able to handle 3000w so if i wer to change to a seald box, do you think it might hurt the sub with 1200w?
