I know that caulk will kill foam surrounds while it is curing, but what about minimal expanding foam, if that is curing very near my subs with foam surrounds... will i have problems???

Well it shouldn't cause the expanding foam "creates" foam. So therefor a foam surrounds so be safe and I usually can't smell any "vapors" coming from expanding foam. But it's best just to let it set first to make sure all seams are good and tight.
