cheep alts 17si lol 200 amps hot ratted 100 ea @ the most 150 @ 16volts with a 911 02r reg and a stock rectifier with only 6 55 amp diods 24000 watts @16volts and 150 amps ea try this noris http://www.ecoair.com/ if that dont work for ya and all you would need is @ the most is 4 of them to get A true 15360 watts @ 16volts but if that dont work try this http://www.prestolite.com/pgs_news/news_0.php#110-566

Is there something wrong with using an alt that is good? Those are ohio generators if you couldn't read. THey are 300 amps each and will run well over 16v(i've seen ours over 21). Just because you think you know how to build alts doesn't mean you know what you are talking about. I suggest you go back to carsound, we arent as nice to people who make unwanted posts over here.

first off they say they are 300 but i know diff i do this for a liven and it is totaly imp possable that they can get 300 out of that alt 250 cold and mabe 150 hot at the most trust me send me one ill up it on my computor test bench and give ya a print out of what its doing at all aspects of its life ill drop a 800 amp load on it and then show you when i go to compansate by turing up the voltage as well as specs on the rotor how i put it on my amp meter and show ya that its not as bad ass as you all think they clame to be its just a adj hi amp rexco roto /stator that was made buy the original corp called faulkner with a transpo adj 911-02r reg no more no less that alt is small compared to my ford 3g or the cs144 we can do and they will do 200+ hot ratted but i gess you need to buy a name OHIO GEN lol what a joke i tested one of there big case fords they clame is all that 200 amps for the army 12/24 what a joke but hay you they say you pay for what you get that alt would cost me 100 to build so just think on that note tell them to give ya a speck sheet on them and what they do under a 400/800amp load seens how most of todays amps when running 2 or more draw that in one burp/and on that note that punny stock rectifier is only good for 165 amps on the pos side as well as the neg so how do you think it would hold up to a 300 amp`s lol get a clue the rotor is only a 5 amp 6 amp at the most...............BBL ill give you some # for the rotor and stators they use lol.........got to go to work LTR

OK first off im not bashing any one. 2nd off i cant typ fast sorry i try to typ fast but my fingers dont do the walking. 3rd off i have a handy cap to many things on my mind lol
OK see the prob with that alt is that you can not build it to do 300 hot ratted working amps at any volt. The part # FOR THE ROTOR STATOR IS AS IS 38-7287F160. Ya a 160 amp stator is as big as it gets do to the fact that you cant wind a 14ga wire with 4 lead`s per three stator leads.
The bigest rotor you can get for that is a stock one they dont do any thing hi amp as of yet and to wind a custom one would be a wast of time. part # for that is #1381.
The resion i sugest these alts is because i can build one for ya but. I will be honist with ya it wont put out what he needs to do the job.
and if i was talking bad about them sorry. But dont sell some one somthing that you clame dose 300 amps and it only dose 1/2. cause sooner or latter some one will call ya bluff and im calling it i have been here for 5 yrs know and the business has been around for 35+ yr`s. WE dont work that way when we say it dose it it Dose.
Sorry if you cat read my typing but if you can dont get jipped thats all im saying.

That's funny I just had my two "300 amp alts" tested by a third party and you may think you know what you are talking about but you don't... I didn't get the results I expected but they were much closer than half.

Like you sead i had a 3rd party test it. How do they test. They put a 800amp load on it. did they do it at an idle or @ max rpm lol. I all so like what you sead it was only 1/2 of that lol get real i all ready showed chris ther is no such thing as a 17 si that can do 300 amps hot ratted amps @ idle. mabe a cs144 or a 21si but not a 17si.

Where or when was it determined that the alternators in the pictures were 17si's? They look like CS144 cases to me from what I can see, not the best angles or pictures. Just curious not trying to start anything, just want to know what the differences between the two are.

They may not do 300+ amps at idle, but I highly doubt it will be idleing for a burp. Well, maybe 2500rpm idle.

Should only be 2000 RPM since that is the maximum limit allowed by most organizations. And that would be engine RPM of course, alternator RPM can be changed with simple pulley swaps.
But here is my question. Why post this hear where no one really cares. It would be to the best intrest to post this in the alternator/battery section of the forum.
