ive experiemnted with crossovers to tune the bass signal, had good luck sometimes but im stuck right now im thinking of trying a kicker or alpine pre-amp instead, or maybe as well as my coustic xm-6 or lanzar optidrive 3x, or maybe all of them? other options are a different h/u ass my ///ALPINE used to have a much better sounding bass, i changed it around many times with jvcs kenwods and they all sucked in the bass department
my sub is what i want it to be, my amp is what i want it to be, im thinking its the stuff that happens BEFORE the amp and sub i need to work on
I don't think changing HU's or crossovers is going to make much of a difference. If you can't get your setup to sond the way you want from the amp's built in crossovers and any dam head unit, I think you may have a problem with your box design... or maybe the type of subwoofer... what exactly is the problem with the sound and what do you want it to sound like?? You need to be able to define a problem before people can help you with a solution.

hmm, the box design and the subwoofer are perfect, but the bass just sounded more 'seperate' from the mids with my old head unit ,and when i run it on my coustic xm-6, it gets that deep feeling it used to, but the x-over is acting up
you are right im not really asking a question
just want peoples views of tuning the signal for the subwoofer amp and what works and what doesnt
