If you had 2 good amps, and wanted to be as loud as possible with limited power.... would you do 1 sub with lots O'Power on the 1, or 2 subs with less per sub?? Any results from testing before I start? [Big Grin]

2 DD9515e (Dual 4) on 2 bd1000's (Older models-no sync) One per speaker=149.9

1 DD9515e (Dual 2) on 2 bd1000's(same ones)-one per Coil=150.3

One Red Top Battery on a battery Charger and covered the other hole with 3/4 inch MDF.

Old Term-pro Mic at Home.

Going to stick with the 1 woofer set-up and try to improve on the Box design. [Cool]

Don't remember the box demensions, its been awhile. It was the same box in both situations, I just removed one of the speakers because it was bad. [Cool]

Not a valid comparison as your box size effectively doubled and your box's tuning dropped accordingly.

2 subs will be louder than 1 on the same total power. The street classes prove that. 4 12s are inherently louder than 2 15s on identicle power....

If you desire, I can also do some testing with my system on my new TL just to see.

Say you have two 12" 500 rms sub with 12.5mm xMax being pushed to xmax by 500 watts each . Then another 12" sub(dvc) 1000 watt rms(500 per coil) with 25 or greater xMax . The single 12" DVC will have the same output as the 2 subs .. Yes ? Yes !

No. The 2 12.5mm drivers should be louder due to having 2 motors as opposed 1 motor - if the total displacement is the same and everything else is identicle (which it wouldn't be...)

However, you really cannot predict output based upon what you have stated - or any TS parameter for that matter. Simple fact. It literally is ALL in the install and how well that install uses the car's transfer function to modulate the system's response (which can be predicted) into output (which cannot be predicted)...
