me and my friends were talking about this one......only problem is we couldn't find a magnet source.....if you take a satelite dish..one of the small ones (dish network) and used it as a cone..used half a tire as a surround and built a frame and wound the vc with like 18 gauge wire and put it together like a sub would it work as a big super sub? the guys who are talking about strapping 16 amps together or whatever in that one thread might like to take all that power and make one of these i didn't see any rules agaist homemade super woofers in the rules.......

I would say a honeycomb composite flat piston would be the easiest nd nice and light. You can find magnet suppliers pretty easy with a google search, then you just need to machine or have machined the front and back plate.
