say for instance i have a common chamber enclosure with 2 subs and a single slot vent at one end. if i use a phase controller to match the phase of the sub closest to the port to the sub closest to the opposing side of the enclosure at lets say 35 htz, will that only match the phase of the subs at that particular frequency? or will both subs be in proper timing with each other through all frequencies? peace, mark

I wouldn't worry about it at all for a normal street system. My box is like that and I don't feel like I'm losing anything because of it. Honestly, the distance between the center of the subs is around 20". That's a small distance compared to the length of a 35hz sound wave.

Nomad is dead on. I have heard this phase matching stuff (because of different distances of the subs to the port) forever and a day and I can't find any basis in fact. There are way too many other things that much more dramatically the performance of a sub system.
