im looking just for the perfect basket design, so all you guys that know the ins and outs of a sub please reply with your comments...

#1: Rigidity: The basket cannot flex, especially in the operating frequency range of the driver.
#2: Elasticity: If the basket does flex, it should return to its original comformation without distortion
#3: Turbulence: The basket must meet requirements #1 and #2 above without restricting the coupling of air to the rear of the cone (that is, it can't block much of the air from moving) because this would lower driver efficiency.
#4: Non-resonant: Not only should the basket not "flex," it should not engage in any small amplitude vibrations at any frequency, also known as resonance distortion. This distortion is usually centered at some "fundamental" frequency of resonance in the basket but many frequencies might be present. This noise will be coupled directly to the baffle by driver attachment as well as being radiated directly by the driver.
#X: Any basket meeting the above requirements must also avoid "leaking" magnetic field from the permanent driver magnets.
#XX: Any basket must provide a manner to be attached to every necessary part of the speaker: The surround must be able to be glued or clamped on, the spider, the same, and the magnet must be able to be fastened in such a way that it's attachments will not "rip through" the basket or "break off."
