What would happen if you were designing a box and the program told you if you used 20 vents at 0.35" in diameter being 0.29" long to reach the speed of sound, Mach 1, what would happen?

I've been wondering about this.

Well, if i did try it, I would probably try to find another way to use less vents.

By a theory i always think of is once you start using multiple and multiple vents, i'd say 4 or more, wouldnt the air flow through all vents(especially 20) all have to be equal to obtain your tuning frequency? Because if that is true, hehe, near impossible to say the least.

That is just a theoretical number and does not mean that if you build it, it will actually have that speed. As the speed of air in the port goes up the backpressure also increases which causes a buildup of pressure in the box and it starts to act more like a sealed box. You always want to keep the speed of the air in the port low enough so that you don't have port noise. If it is too small as in the case with a mach number of 1, it will have a lot of port noise and not play as loud as if the port were correctly sized.
