If you find out let us all know b/c I have never heard of this. But I might be wrong b/c I sure can admit that I am still learning and don't know everything.

i had been told earlier this summer there was atleast 1 company that had made amps strappable like this. i could of swore it was 2 companies though. MTX should try doing this. that would be sick. strap 4 1501s per coil. wonder who the company would be to have a sub out that can take that much power.......

MA Audio makes amplifiers that are designed for Two amps on one voice coil. It's important that the resistors that handle the incoming power(post subwoofer negative connection)can disappate enough heat. I hooked multiple channels of a home receiver up to one woofer/vc...and it just smoked the resistors, so i changed them out. From 0.5W/whatever resistance they were to 1W resistors... but careful, doing this for long can blow transistors too...but check out MA's new amps.

I think people are not reading his post correctly. He is asking if you can strap MORE than two amps PER coil. If you can strap more than two 81000d's per coil on a DD please give me a call so that I can understan how you are doing this.

I have quad stacked 81000ds I have gotten as many as 25 burps out of a dd 9515 dual 2 ohm sub. with the gains up as much as 83 volts out of each amp. befoe the tensil leads melted.DD said the could make bigger tinsel leads.when i talked to them last year at finals.and showed them the sub.

amps produce voltage, you can wire amps in series to produce large amounts of voltage. The trick is figuring out what the input and output grounds reference too.

From my understanding, you can have a maximum of 2 rails in an amp, or 2 amps strapped with 1 rail each. I believe what HLabs did with the audio engines is make them so you could extend the rails by adding another amp onto the end, rather than running them in a traditional strapped setup, where you add a second seperate rail.

probably have to go the other way, instead of more amps to a VC, how bout more VC on a sub. Couple of Quad coils out there, how bout an 8 coil sub??? 16 amps to the driver.
