Topic: Frequency Response SPL
I have noticed that all frequency responses for SPL subs on the charts show the graph never going above 0 DB. What happens if you want to use sub(s) whose response graph goes over 0 DB? Like, is there any relovence to spl or SQ or anything. What does it matter what the Amplitude graph says? -------------------- Competition stats so far from Audio To Go as of 2004- (Sean Madison)- http://www.audiotogo.net/splhistory.php

its just a relative scale... u can put the =0db where ever u want. but normally its at rated efficiency to be useful, then u look at it,and see if ur box peaks eg ive designed a infinity 10" box that peaks 10db over relative efficiency db can be a ratio- or absolute SPL too related but seperate. --------------------http://www.geocities.com/basshornguy
