I was looking for some stuff called ICE GUARD, because it is supposed to be pretty similiar to Dynamat and other sound deadeners. All they had was some stuff called UNDERLAYMENT G by Owens Corning Fiberglass. It looked like it could work except that it had sand or other abrasive particles on the outside with adhesive on the other side. Does ICE GUARD have these same abrasive particles on the outside. I think that I could use this stuff fine in my truck, but my friend wants to use it on his car too and I don't think he wants all of this stuff to fall off in the trunk of his car. What else do you recommend for cheap? I have a few cans of rubberized undercoating but I need adhesive mat to deaden most of my truck. I am going to try Menards and Lowes also. Please I need some recommendations!

Lowes has seal and peel but only in 1 ft. wide rolls. Looking in the yellow pages under roofing supplies etc. You may find a supplier that carries seal and peel or a similar product in larger sheets.

lowes up here in seattle has it in 6" wide rolls

Why mess with that crap? It will be minimally more $$$ to pick up some Brown Bread, B-Quiet, etc. and do it properly. [Roll Eyes]

I just use spray on rubberized undercoating and it works pretty well for dampening sound. [Big Grin]

omfg, I cannot believe how huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge that pic is. I'm gonna make a call and say you should prob make it a tad smaller [Razz]

Rubberized undercoating eh? How well does it work for you compared to the other stuff most other ppl dampen with?
