i was reading that the smaller the cabin size the more spl gained.. but i also read that the low end suffers from having a small cabin. the reason im askin is cuz im building a wall for daily driving and i looooove my low end.. i was thinkin 2 15 l7s ported or 4 L5 15s sealed but which is gonna going to sound better??

it all depends on how big the wall volume is compared to the cabin volume

since it sounds like your car is going to be a daily driver, i wouldnt worry too much about the cabin volume being too small. that usually is referenced to the extreme vehicles where the airtight and modified interior comes into play.

Have you ever seen teh interior of Big Jim? Or inside of Jaime De La Paz's car? I seen them at finals and the interior is quite large (especially Big Jim)

i have an ext cab tacoma with a wall. got 2 vented 15" L7's. each sub has 4 cu ft box from floor to ceiling. i wish i could remember off the top of my head what the hardest frequency is. im wantin to say 50ish hZ, but 100% sure. my one and only meter read was at 156.1 dB. you'll have about double the room i got.

compared to a e1-2 car yes the cabin is big but they also have a increased number of woofers and bigger box [Wink]
