Do I want more for SPL or less? I have bassboxpro6 and it shows the velocities of the air... What do I want?

Less velocity = less port noise = better air flow through the port = more spl

i already told you that you dont want all that port velocity.........thats tne "extra" noise the PORT is making not the music coming out of it. Maybe you just need a second opinion, thats cool

on BBP keep the "wave" on the graph from fading at the top of the spike......read your online manual.

also when the port velocity is extremely high, the theory of tuning flies out the window.

ok...then explain this....how come when u build the crx box u use aero ports....y?.....high velocity....4 4" aero ports have only 50 square inches of port....now build that with a slot port....u go down....but to stay with those aero ports u have to build a 100 square inch slot port

for the crx is this a street drag application or superstreet/extreme, completely different thinking involved in both...

many of the normal street competitors have gained out here by using smaller slotted ports as opposed to the 6 cube 100 si ports we thought would be louder. basically if you are going to have a bigger port, you need more cone area and motor stregnth to create more pressure, not to mention more power.
