I have a 2001 integra and I plan on putting a pair of 15s in the hatch. I want to maximize air space inside my box, so I want to build the box as big as possible.

I plan on firing the 15's up.

I've heard systems that sound like crap having about 2 inches between the woofers and the ceiling of a hatch. so I want to be able to maximize my box without having this happen!

How much space is needed between the port + subs and the hatch ceiling to properly send the waves out into the cabin of the car?

Thanks in advance!

for 15" subs i would say no less than 6" from glass. [Cool]
