Does any of you use burp switches in the podiums? well I have one in mine and when i have it plugged in it makes a high pitched hum, i thought it was because it was near the power block i have in the podium but its not, i loose that noise when i take out the switch, what can i do to get rid of these noise and still use the switch? THanks!

i think the hum is there, if you don't have relays on the switch. if that is the case, there is no damage being done. depending on how loud the vehicle is, the hum will be a lil louder or not. no worries.

you mentioned you have a powersupply in the podium ... this plugs into a wall outlet? (ie. 120V AC at 60 HZ)

If this is the case then maybe it is picking up some RFI from the powersupply. Can you try MOVING the switch to another location? Like just move the switch like 10 feet away from any powersource/powersupply ...

If it's 60 Hz .. that's the only place I can see if coming from.

It could also be possible that the switch is pickup it up from your head unit.

move that switch .. see what happens.
