I know you can build a bandpas for 8" form 80-400 hz but can you do the same thing for a 4". IF you put a high quality four inch midrange in a bandpass design could you get enough octave coverage to make it worthwhile, could you get a 4" speaker to scream out a 200hz note?
can some one respond with some technical info on high frequency badpass design.

I thought Bose uses transmission lines.

All of the Acoustimass boxes are a bandpass.

A TLine would deliver actual low bass and that would be contradictory to it being a Bose..

The Acoustimass boxes are some kind of funky series tuned bandpasses.. If you ever go to the BOSE store in Opry Mills they have one in all plexi.. It is cool as crap. I do think the little wave radio kitchen thingy is some kind of TL though, it has a long multiply folded labrynth behind the speaker..
