hmmm interesting question.. even my 48db/oct crossover (it's a linkwitz riley so it's 6db down at the x-over freq) would have a HUGE impact on the accuracy of the higher freqency's

I thought the filter wasn't really a filter on the mic, but if the frequency is above 80Hz the reading is red flagged.

The SPL # is shown regardless of the frequency. You could do a 182 dB at 300 hz and it would register that score, it would just be red. I have actually done some playing around with my term lab, and it does not actually signal red until 85, or sometimes 86 hz in my tests. On another note, you can vary the red-flag frequency... it can be anything like 25, 80,100, 200, etc...
