i noticed that laptop screens are really cheap on ebay and i started wondering about using one with a dvd player. how would i modify the inputs of the screen to accept a video signal via a rca cable? is it possible through another method? thanks.

Do a search on here or on caraudioforum.com under the video sections.

there was one which I explained it. There is a lot of stuff you have to do to manipulate the signal to what you need and currently I don't think anyone makes a chip that will do it. Motorola discountinued one that would of worked a few years ago. I have not continued research on this. Check altavista. There is very little info out there. Better be prepared for indepth electronics

But if I ever did find a chip/LCD brand that I could get spec sheets for you know I would be selling them and having 12" screens in the backs of my seats and on the ceiling.. Awww yeah

I'll buy one if you can make it for cheaper that that. ALOT CHEAPER. I think it's a supply and demand thing, not a part thing.
