I've seen in an article that Team Gates ran a special system in their bronco way back in the day when it was white and ran PPI subs. They had all the subs hooked up to relay's or something, so that with the flip of a switch the impedance of the woofers changed from a normal high impedance to a low "SPL" impedance. I think this is very neat, and would like to run something similar to this in my car. How can you accomplish this type of wiring?

its not too hard. basically like running your "1 ohm stable" amp with a dual 2 ohm sub at 1 ohm for SPL and then at 4 ohms for daily driving or whatever.. depending on how many subs you have, you might need a few relays...
draw it out on paper first and that should make it look pretty simple. just wire your system for 2 different loads on your amps and seperate them by having the signals go thru seperate relays...
