HI once again, ok, ill start with what i have i have a 92 pontiac sunbird(2door) with 2 12inch jbl gt(dual voic coil) sub woofers in a four foot custom built ported box with the 4inch wide 12inch long ports and subs facing 4inches away from the trunk. I take out my back seat for the competions. I have an Mtx RT 2400x amp about 375 to each sub. I have a 1 farrad lightning cap, and a kenwood kdc8011 radio. well i just recintley got this radio and am hitting high 142's i used to hit 143's easy, and my high is 145...my old radio was the kenwood kdc3001(not 4-volt like the new one). Why have i gone down my last 2 events, i even went out and got a 105 amp alternator. Please, someone help me...i should be hittin 145's instead im doin 142's the past 2 shows. Also, i was told to get a line driver that would help. Please any suggestions on where to set my amp(hi freq or gain, etc..) and postion my subs at. Thanx Iggy

Well, I would put a scope on the head unit outputs and see if they really are 4 volt, because sometimes head units (or anything electrical) can be defective even after testing..
Also- Did you readjust your gains after putting in the new head unit? If you haven't, do it.
Tell me if it works.
Also, some times the mic is low... A line driver could be a waste of money if you have a decent 4 v deck.
