I have a '94 Acura Integra GSR. I think my stock alternator puts out a very sad 75-85 amps. I need my alternator to put out at least 200-250 amps. I know it's pretty much impossible to get that much amperage out of one Alternator, so how about 2?? Is it possible to fit another one in my engine-bay? Has anyone ever tried this? Is this even a feasable idea? Thanks for any input!

Lots of people do it. It requires special altenators and external voltage regulators though. Go to the SPL section of this fourm, lots of db dragracers do this.

if you have multiple batteries, you can have multiple altenators. the catch is, the altenators cannot see one another. i have my stock altenator and an auxiliary on my car. the aux has a 100ca battery for the system, the factory alt. goes to the fact battery.
