could someone give me an idea of what it would cost to get a big hole cut in the back of my extended cab ford ranger, just along the bottom of the back wall of the cab.

i included a link to a sounddomain page where that person had this done, just to give convey my idea.

so i would like a hole cut out in the cab and the bed and have some type of rubber grommet installed. i would be making my own box.

so how much could this cost to get done?

thanks

Well, it takes a solid day to get the cut right and run the grommet.. Any other installation (running wires, etc) will be on top of that.

I would set aside a hundred for the boot material, and four for labor to cut it out and finish it off. Also, after its done, you should attack it with a garden hose thoroughly to check/stop leaks.

I'd say half a bill is moderately reasonable for a well thought out blow-through.
