anyone know where i can find a schmatic for making a LED audio meter...you know the ones...the louder the music is the more led's light up...they most of the time light up with the beat.

Check out the LM 3514 (or 3515 or 3516 I'm not sure which)from National semiconductor. They are ten segment drivers that display in dB with just a few resistors and 10 LEDs. If you want to do just one set of LEDs per channel it is pretty easy, if you want to do different LEDs for different frequencies like some EQs it will be a little more complicated.

or just do a search on altavista.com and type :lm3915 meter or vu meter plan.... you know..
i did many of those for friend..
