Someone referred me to Calvin on this forum and said he had some kickass ported box designs. I'm not sure how to find him. Anyway. I'm building an enclosure for 3 JL Audio W6 10's and JL calls for a 3" port 20.8inches long for each speaker. How can I convert this into using maybe 2 or 3 larger ports for each speaker. Also, by increasing the size of the ports but keeping the area the same, does this affect the tuning of the ports. What is the most common fq. to tune a port to for best SQ with a little SPL. Someone please enlightin me.
