I guess I don't understand your question..

The number of drivers and the wiring configuration basically ARE the impedances. The box will affect the impedance.. I know you know how to calculate the nominal impedance, so I'm guessing that you're asking whether or not the number of subs and wiring affects the box's effects on impedance?

Whooooooo.. Awesome question!

I'm gonna sit back for a second on this one and see what everybody cooks up.

No.
This is assuming everything else is done correctly. Like all the woofers in the box are the same and wired the same.
You will get a bad measurement if you only run one sub that is sharing air space with other subs though.

so if i go out to my car to get voltage and current measurements it shouldn't matter if my subs are in a series/parallel configuration then right? the impedances that i get from the calculations should be correct?

Make sure that the vehicle is closed up all the way around, or only has doors, windows, hatches, etc open that will be open when you make an spl run. (assuming that is the goal) and when measuring impedance with subwoofers wired in series, series/parallel, make sure that all woofers are connected and playing when testing. Trying to test them one at a time can change the plot as the accoustic load will vary when comparing one subwoofer to multiple subwoofers.

Did that make sense? I almost confused myself.
