i will have a cva-1000 later this week probably, and i am intrested on hooking up a playstation to it. i was wondering if this is hard to do. and my main concern is will it hurt the over SQ in any way? i have heard that if you do the mod. that all your sound while watching video will be mono....is that true?

There are a couple of ways to do the mod, one of them requires the addition of a KCA-801B. This little box gives you the ability to add stereo audio to the AI-Net input. If you need more info, let me know.

i have heard people say something about the ai-net thing or whatever, does that mean that i can't run the ai-net to the changer anymore? or do you even run that to the changer anyway? i don't know much about the unit, since i don't have it yet.

I have a CVA 1000 w/ the video mod already done, but I would like to add stereo sound. Where can I get this chip?

Mabeita, is that part available through Apline. Can you give more detailed instructions on how to wire this up?
