I need the formula for figuring ohms. When speaks are wired in series. I know the one for paralel. I know the 4 and make 2 when wired in series and 8 and make 4 when the same is done to them. I am trying to figure of 6 ohms loads and the such. Any help is much appreciated

Series wiring
Add up the resistance in the circuit and that is the new ohm load.

Parallel wiring
1/R1 + 1/R2 + 1/R3...=1/Rtotal

R means resistance

So series (3) 4 ohm woofers
4+4+4=12ohms
Parallel (3) 4 ohm woofers
1/4+1/4+1/4 = 1/.75 = 1.3333 ohms

Team...Can I be on your team?

Maybe a new pic who knows.

If you have Microsoft Excel loaded on your PC you can use this calculator I made for impedance.
