Are these used to wire up DVC's in a neat, orderly fashion? If not, what exactly are these for? Thanks

You can make readily removeable connections that still look good, you can prototype wiring configurations without solder.. Anything that you can crimp a spade to, you can connect to a barrier strip and get easily removed connections.
