What does a larger port gain you spl wise. I have a rather small port for my dd (around 75 sq in.) and just want to know what a larger port would gain me.

It would give you a lower port velocity. The lower the port velocity the easier the wave can travel. Your goal is for your port to work like a spring, just like a sub. If you have a small port, the air works like an air hose, it just shoots, it can't retract.

You'll gain a big ass hole in your box and a gain in spl. There is a point where a port is too big, but it's fairly large.
