i'm wondering if anyone can tell me exactly how to run two single rail amps to a single voice coil. I'm looking at xtants x1001 amps and i need 1000 watts at 4 ohms. JL audio w7 are a 3 ohm nominal sub. Is bridging two single ended output amps the only way i could power these subs with as much power as i want. If this is the best way to power them; how do i wire the amps and does that effect the subs or impedance in any way? thanx

if you want to bridge amps, i know you can do that with the Crossfire BMF 1000d, and the Memphis ST-1000d, and if i am not mistaken you can also do this with the forthcoming Rockford Fosgate bd1500, which is rumored to be a 3000 watt monster. if you need any help with the crossfire stuff, let me know i can hook ya up with someone from crossfire

I just finished an install in which the two Rockford Fosgate BD1000's were bridged together, and it was awesome. In this particular case, the amps were run 180 degrees out of phase at the input section, then strapped together by connecting the negative(-)speaker terminals together. The amps also required a synchronization cable to connect the two power supplies together, and an RJ-11 splitter so that the single remote bass control would control both amps at the same time.
