Your subs. Meaning, on the face of the box how close can the mouth be to the subs?

------------------

Clarion Pro audio DRX7475
JL 6.5 components
crossfire 602 for components
2 12inch Audiomobile MASS subs
5 CU FT ported to 42 hz
2 Cadence A7HC's
2 optima red tops
160 amp Ohio Gen. Alt.
1/0 all the way around.

It ain't much, but it's getting louder. :)

Given tht those tube boxes used for SPL have the ports surrounding the subs I would say right next to each other.

the closer you can get the port to the sub, the better the acoustic coupling will be.

I respect any sub that can make me pass out.

Thanks guys. I'm in the process of building a 5 cu ft enclosure, and don't have much room. So that helps.

Thanks guys, never asked that Q, but you reinforced what I thought or should I say hoped. Small space as well.

Actually, convention says you should be half the diameter of the woofer away from the edge of the frame, but I have never noticed this making any big difference
