The subs give off a good bit. They will deflect a TV screen. Set a protable tv by your spears and you will see or your speaker by your monitor. The speaker will bend the electron on the screen. I don't believe it will hurt you much. Only a very small risk. They say electric blankets should be used by kids because of this. In industries that use 30 kw and up motors and generators there not that much of a cancer increase.

Ya know, this really touches on my theory about where modern competiton is going. I plan on making a big old emp genrating dohicky, mounting it on the top of my car, and use it blow up the elecectronics of all competitors in a 1/2 m radius. couse, it will probabbly give everybody at the comp some kinda horrendus carsogenic mutagenic unstable fatal mutation that will undenibly end whatever slim chance they had to begin with of ever finding a date...but ya got to break a few eggs, ya know what I mean?

hey snot.
you see that discovery channel special about the cops new emp thingy.
instead of spike strips they're going to start using electrical strips!!!!! EEK!
when you drive over them, they short out ANYTHING electronic in your car causing it to stall. that makes me worry about my amps and system.....

I think I heard a long time ago that low frequencies can make you sterile. I'm still playing loud!

Does anybody know how much radiation you get bombed with everyday from the sun? a 60hz E&M wave is harmless, and magnets will not heal you. Its amazing what people will believe, basically anything the media says is true, people believe. And the meda is no where near accurate.
As for cell phones, the frequencies they operate at is in the millimeters, or microwave frequencies. Microwaves (above about 900MHz) behave very differently then low frequencies. In fact a whole new set of physics applies to design circuits at or above these frequencies. microwaves are very impedance picky. If the media is not impedance matched the wave will reflect off it. At a certain frequency, water is an impedance match, at this frequency sattelite communications is worthless, everything gets absorbed by the water in the atmosphere. So we use that frequncy for microwave ovens. That is how they work. At cell phone frequencies there is a slight impedance match with fat, and guess what? Most of the cells in your brain are actually fat. Dont worry, no matter how hard you diet, your body will never use that fat for energy. Anyway, because of the impedance match with fat the microwaves can heat them up. And there are limits that cellphones must abide by with respect to output. but they are still in the milliwatts, while your microwave oven is around 1000W or 1,000,000mW.

Always amused me how people are worried about em radiation etc. tehn strap magnets on themselves to aid nautural healing

LoL, our bodies are constantly being hit with EMF all day and night long, 24-7, for practically our whole lives. Do you think the radio stations you pick up on your car don't go through your body? Or you cell phone conversation? Or everyone elses for that matter?? EMF is only dangerous at high frequencies and high power. Anyway's if lower frequency EMF made people sterile, it would be an awesome birth control method lol.

Don't stand in font of a ships radar though, or if you're a seagull don't fly infront of it, and if you're a plane bad things can happen to you.
Ever seen what happens when you hold a flourescent tube next to a powerful radi transmtter? Looks weird.

quick question:

How would driving over an electrical strip be able to disable your car?

Your tires are rubber.

Rubber = no conductivity.

Your tires completely isolate you from the ground.

I think its more like an E&M high power wave. It would creat so9 much noise in the computers electrical system it would crash.

The strip is connected to the ground. I.e. laying on the road.
The strip has fingers about a foot long that scrape the both of the vehicle and hit the chasis with high voltage blowing out the brain in the car. And Yes it works. The emf gun take high power and arenot practical for law enforcement just military.
