Topic: How does this sound for the correct Ports and Length and Volume
If you're looking for a little more 'hammer' pare that port down to 8" long.------------------
And that's the bottom line, cuz: LORD DUKK SAYS SO!

It'll sound great at JL's specs, but it will play louder (and less deeeeep bass) with the shorter port......Blashphemer! NO PORT FOR YOU! --The Port Nazi.

Thanks for the info DukkWhen you use a ported box you should really use a subsonic filter right.. Well the only processors that I use for my low frequencies are my epicenter which has a subsonic filter in it but I don't know what frequency it cuts off at.. and then the subwoofer output from my Clarion EQH5100 which has a high pass and low pass crossover and sub voloume control and switch able to play either stero/mono/off

8" gets you a 39 Hz tune. You could compromise and go 11" for a 35Hz tune and get the real deep stuff back (especially if you have an epi)------------------
