I was wondering is there any equation for figuring the frequency of a port, and if there is a equation for tuning ports to a specific frequency.

Yes there is. Here is the equation:

((14630000 x R^2) / (Vb x Fb^2)) - 1.463R = L

R is the radius of the port in inches
Vb is the volume of the box in cubic inches
Fb is the tuning frequency of the box in Hz
L is the length of the port in inches

You can use this equation to find length and if you have all except one variable, you can find that variable by rearranging the equation. Any questions?

Not too bad...Have you seen the one on JL's site? That was oodles of fun - especially when I programmed it into my ti-82. It's nice though, plug in 3numbers and the 82 spits out a tuning freq.
Here's a link to the JL tuning site:

What size Power DVCs? What are you looking for, sound quality, SPL, or just plain loud bass?

With that size enclosure and ports with those dimensions you were tuning fairly low, close to 35 Hz. I say try using the same ports, but shorten the length to about 13 cm. That should bring your tuning up to about 45 Hz and make a much larger peak in the response. Just don't play the subs below the tuning frequency (45 Hz), or you may risk blowing them out. I'd say try a 55-60 Hz tone and see how you do.

It is a Muskellunge, better known as a muskie. They don't live down in your area (NM), due to the warmer climate. Tiger muskies may be in resivoirs a little ways north of you though. Do you have pickerel in your area? If so, this fish is in the same family (esox), looks similar, but gets much bigger. Do you do a lot of fishing?
