The Punch Power 1100a2 has a 100amp fuse and running @13.8 volts using the formula: P = E*I or 13.8*100amps you get 1380 watts, but at 14.4 volts using the same formula you get 1440 watts. So a Punch Power 1100a2 really puts out just over 1400 watts right? Is this what people are talking about when they say Rockford Fosgate amps are under rated?

Well, speaking theoretically, the amplifier can draw up to 1440 watts. Two things wrong with this. A 100amp fuse will usually pass more than 100 amps, and can pass almost 200 amps full surge before blowing. Also, however small, wire has a resistance that will decrease the total amount of current flow, and that will affect power.
In the case of Rockford amps being "under-rated", they are rated to produce XXX watts at a specific voltage, usually 12.6 volts. At 13.6 and 14.4, what charging systems usually operate at, they produce a great deal more. They are rated under the worst possible circumstance, so in the best, they really pump.
Also, an amplifier will NEVER produce the same amount of power as it draws. Because no amplifier can be 100 % efficient, they all will dissipate power in the form of heat. That means that all the power they take in is not applied to the load, some of it is wasted.
