Is there a way to check the speaker impedance at a certain frequency, say 65hz., without the leap program, or an osilascope. Just a multimeter, and sine waves

You can measure the voltage across the speaker terminals then without changing the volume measure the current going to the speaker.
Divide the voltage by the current and you have a rough impedance at that freq.

yes he has got it right. but make sure it is at low volume. if you are using a multimeter. most of them don't have a very high current tolerance. i have blew up a few meters this way.

A good meter should have a fuse on the current lead.

you can take a resistor of a known resistance. If it says 10 ohm, measure it. You need to be as specific as possible.
Wire the resistor in series with the speaker, then take voltage measurements across the resistor and across the speaker.

speaker impedance = resistor ohms * speakerV / resistor V

good luck, any value resistor will work but keep it around the value of the speaker
