what are the different ways a (insert audio processor of your choice) is grounded. i.e. chassis ground, isolated ground, etc.... someone clear this up for me on how they all work. thanks in advance!

if this is what you are refering to....... a chassis ground deck is a deck that only uses one out put for the speaker. and uses the chassis of the vehicle for signal return. so the speakers neg is actually grounded. very old school and ugly sounding.
the other popular form is floating ground. where you have two leads for speakers + amd -. where the speaker signals are isolated from ground to give it a much cleaner signal and is used in virtually all audio today.
