i got a Phoenix Gold ZX450- 4 channels

i want to run the a/d/s 336is bridged so to get the full 250wrms x 2, lotsa clean headroom - frontstage

but i also need to run my rearfill, which will be most likely be a dynaudio system220.

i will try to run the ads in briged mode, and the dynaudio in stereo mode (with the left sides of both spks on the front channels of the amp and right speakers on the rear channels) get what i mean? sorta like tri mode, but in left signal mono bridged (250w) for the left ads and left signal mono (75w)for the left dyns (and the right side will get the other channels)

i have no doubt it will work, but i really just want a tiny bit of rear fill for my backseat passengers.

what kind of resistors or L-pads do i need to run to lower the output to the dynaudio by 3-6dBs ..

i know it would be ALOT easier to use the 4channel amp and not bridge it.

sorry if its confusing and thanx in advance

Sounds like you have a high quality setup.. What I would personally suggest is adding a small two channel amp for the purpose of rear fill to power that 220, and run the A/d/s with the four channel IN four channel mode, one channel per speaker, and include an outboard processor. If you decide not to do that, that you really must bridge the amp, then why not get a small two channel for the set anyway and skip the outboard processor?

Just my .02$, I think you would save time and effort, and headroom, this way.

i dont really wanna run the a/d/s active...
if i did i wont need a outboard processors.. i'll just use the ZX450 amp (in conjunction with a zx500) to get 24dB octave slopes for low pass, mid bandpass and highpass..

but i do like the extra power of bridging my zx450.. 250wrms x 2

the a/d/s passive Xovers are the most kickass i've seen... (with 1 or 2 exceptions) very high quality.. plus its got some polyswitches to protect the tweeters from overpowering/clipping

i'm comtemplating getting a small amp..
but i don't want too many amps in my car

thanx for the advice

Alright.. my advice still stays with getting the other small amp tho, all active aside :-)
