There are 2 ways to charge 16 volt batteries:
1. ANY alternator with an adjustable regulator. MAKE sure your VEHICLE electronics (computer, fuel pump..etc) can handle 16 or more volts. The best way to do this is to use your stock alternator as is, and add a second alternator elsewhere on the engine. BY using the 2nd alternator, you can make your "stereo" voltage whatever you want.
2. Red's Hydraulics sells battery chargers that are adjustable from 12 volts to 96 volts. That is how us hydraulic guys run our setups. We run our pumps at 48 volts or higher, so we NEED those kind of chargers.

Hmm unregulated amp at 48 volts I wound it it would last fore a burp...hehe...Talk about a burst of power..
