RW the schematics and artwork are on the way. By the way the Burr-Brown power IC you used, was it the 15 Volt model or a 5 Volt model with a regulator before it? The reason I got into this was because I was into home audio since I was 12 and car audio since I was 14, when I was 16 I talked to a guy from USAmps about amplifiers and I wanted to learn how they worked. I went to college and decided on EE, so I slowly learned the basics and then started to build stuff as I learned. Now if I want a product for my car or home, I see if I could build something similar.

thanx man.. I'll check out the files as for the BB it's the 5 volt with a 7805 infront... that way the voltage can drop to about 7V and still run fine... you never know what the customer is gonna do, I just don't want the line driver to be the week link

JC2, what design did you use for your 28 band EQ? order? butterworth? oh wait, I think I know of that chip. its like 14 bands per chip and you have to use an op amp to do the inductor values cause they are to large. like a 2nd order right? How did it sound. I thought of doing that but I'm not good with software.

Mr.dank, the design used 1/3 octave constant Q bands like you would see on Audio Control, Pheonix Gold, or Image Dynamics EQs. Each filter used one op-amp, three resistors, and two capacitors. It sounded good to me although I never tested it side by side to another EQ. The gain control was precise and the EQ didn't introduce any audible noise. I'm not very good with software either, I designed the control section but someone else wrote the program for the microcontroller.

RWAudio, how big of a board can you etch? I've got a project I'm working on and I would need a board made.

I'm not quite sure yet, I'm trying to find the parts for the power supply. Right now I can't find anything that will make the size reasonable.

I'm building a small 40-50 watt per channel amp to run some small speakers for my computer. I need a 36 volt center tapped transformer or 2 18 Volt ones, they have to have at least 6 Amp capability.

Jc- A small, high density toroid like 200va (assuming a high efficiency app.., for a true 50 class A watt amp you'd need MUCH bigger) can be had on many different internet sites.. Just use www.hotbot.com and check for "Toroidal transformers".
