well, my MM3000.1 blew up today. volume 10 of 35, daily i go to 29. just started the car up, rolling through the parking lot, and i heard a pop. then smoke. running at twice the rated impedance. subs are fine. voltage was fine.
no reason for the amp to have blown, except the original build being flawed. I've heard of a few others doing the same thing. It smokes, keeps playing, but 8 of the FET's are gone...and resistors of course. maybe even the control trannies near the vertical IC board.

not sure what i'm going to do yet. I want to still compete. I have a small 2ch, but impedance isn't right for the subs in my car.

wha'choo thinking about??
